Philippe Roucou Scarf
Before instagram, there were polaroids. And it is those seemingly archaic and wonderful pieces of instant film that inspired French accessories designer
Philippe Roucou to create his first collection of nostalgic scarves, digitally printed with images taken on a Polaroid camera.
Roucou resurrects forgotten memories, abandoned moments and captures both the extraordinary and the ordinary in his selection of anonymous Polaroids. The direct result of a meeting with artist M. Chérie, the talented pair mused on collecting memories and in particular, neglected photographs. With an elegant banality to these chic scarves which seem to almost sit in the intersection of fashion and art - although they rightfully belong on the neck its hard to fight putting them on the wall.
With a stunning selection of the latest designs available at Melbourne boutique, Le Lourve, its hard to avoid reliving the past when it looks this fabulous.
